We focus primarily on perennial bed design from start to finish. Planning, selection, installation and maintenance are integral to the best outcome. We offer designing and plant selection for the DIY gardener who wants to shop and plant on their own too!
Porch Plants
Boston ferns are lovely and oh so southern, however the charm and personality of flowers compliment this old favorite.
Would you like your hanging baskets to last longer than a few weeks? Would you like seasonal baskets or planters enhancing your front porch or entry way? We have so many ideas and options.
Pollinator Gardens

We have a long growing season in Eastern NC. Our gardens are able to provide much needed food and safe resting places for many beneficial bugs in our gardens.
We are always happy to focus on this, providing plants that are native and beneficial.

Our Founder
Hi, I’m Karen Lakes. I lived here in the 70’s as a young girl and after over 40 years in Colorado I have returned to my southern roots. I have been a landscape designer and perennial specialist for over 30 years. I can create a beautiful space or I can offer you the ideas if you are a DIY gardener. I offer a variety of packages with your budget and goals in mind.
